Obituary for James Edward Bowles
James Edward Bowles age 71 of Penhook, passed away on Friday Oct. 27, 2017 at Franklin Health & Rehab in Rocky Mount. He was born Jan. 28, 1946 in Franklin County to the late Thomas David and Isabel Chitwood Bowles. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by one brother, Charles Bowles.
James was a graduate of Franklin County High School, and took courses to get his insurance license. He served in the US Army National Guard for six years, and worked as an insurance broker for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Brenda T. Bowles of the home, one brother and wife, Thomas Bowles and Tony of Harvest, AL, one sister in law, Catherine Bowles of Chatham, one sister and husband, Barbara France and Pat, sister in law, Marcella Dyer, two sisters in law and husbands, Evelyn Eggleston and Ronnie, Dale Burnette and Stanley, two brothers in law and wives, Jerry Thomasson and Judy, Wesley Thomasson and Janet, one aunt, two uncles, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bowles’ Service of Remembrance will be Tuesday Oct. 31, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Chapel, and at other times at the home on 2465 Airport Road, (Snow Creek Community) Penhook.
