Franklin Lavern "Frank" Frazier
Franklin L. Frazier, 77 of Martinsville passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at his home. He was born August 20, 1940 in Laurel Fork, Virginia to the late James B. and Vada Dehart Frazier. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his spouse Norma B. Frazier in 2008; and one sister, Judy Sutker.
Mr. Frazier was a veteran of the military. He also was a member of the Ridgeway United Methodist Church, and retired from DuPont of Martinsville in 1996. Afterwards, he served several years as a Board Member for the Martinsville DuPont Credit Union, Troop leader for Local Boy Scouts Troop 61, and coaching many sons’ baseball teams. He was also very active with the Master Gardeners.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Barbra Frazier of Woodbridge, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Connie Frazier of Martinsville, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Anne Frazier of Naples, Fl.; one brother, J.B. Frazier of Laurel Fork, Va.; and one sister, Andrea Frazier of Meadows of Dan, Va.; grandson Joseph Frazier of Ft. Myers, Fl., and grandson Zackary Frazier and granddaughter Lydia Frazier of Woodbridge, VA.
His funeral service will be Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the Ridgeway United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ridgeway UMC, 160 Church St., Ridgeway, VA 24148. Online condolences may be entered at www.roselawnchapelfuneralhome.com.
